The Canaries are in rather dire form at the moment. In the past week they have allowed 11 goals to the two Manchester clubs after going down to United 4-0 in the League Cup then 7-0 to City in the Premier League. This put their goals allowed up to 20 with only six goals scored. In their past six matches they have kept two clean sheets and scored three goals. The difficulty is that they have also faced Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City in that time. They shouldn’t be quite so bad against West Ham, but they have not scored more than one goal in a match since their week one 2-2 draw against Everton.
West Ham United
This could be the match in which Sam Allardyce finally tries to put a striker up front instead of his 4-6-0 he’s used most recently. Carlton Cole is one player who could be given a shot at starting up front. In their last two matches they have kept back to back clean sheets in 0-0 draws against Aston Villa and Swansea City to bring their tally up to six on the season.
I’m predicting a West Ham United win, however, this match could easily go either way. Norwich have played badly recently, but their 0-0 draw to Cardiff isn’t that far off and they could easily come away from this with one or even three points.
