Premier League Preview for Fulham v Manchester United along with Predictions for every result in the EPL. Follow up each match with results and video highlights posted later in the week.
During the midweek Capital One match against Championship side Leicester City, Fulham did not fare so well and crashed out 3-4. I suppose that the one positive to look at is that they did manage to score three goals. Their form in the Premier League has been spotty at best. They looked good in their 4-1 win over Crystal Palace, but this was against the worst team in the league. They have a 3-1-5 record and have allowed 12 goals to give them a -3 goal difference for their 10 points this season. One positive they can look at is a high conversion rate at 13% having converted an average of one goal per game with 7.6 shots per game.
Manchester United did well in their 4-0 Capital One Cup win over Norwich. They will certainly be using this to build on, especially after a shaky 3-2 home win over Stoke in week nine of the EPL. So far, United has failed to score in only two matches, the 0-0 draw to Chelsea and the 1-0 loss to Liverpool. On the flipside of this is that they also have kept only two clean sheets with the second coming in the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.
They have allowed 12 goals this season, but have also managed to score 14. United has averaged 14.2 shots per game and just under two goals per game at 1.6 for a fair conversion rate of 10%.
I’m predicting a Manchester United win and one that should be comfortable enough for them. Fulham has struggled throughout this season and it’s difficult to see them getting anything out of this. They do have quite a few brilliant individual players that could certainly change the match in their favor and bring a shock.
